Ritchie Jones has turned down the chance to stay with Oldham Athletic, skysports.com understands.

Jones: Set to leave Boundary Park

The 24-year-old joined Oldham at the start of last season after he left Hartlepool United.

He has featured over 30 times this year and Paul Dickov was keen to take up the 12 month option he had on the player.

However, both parties needed to agree and Jones has decided he would like to move on.

Now a number of Championship and League One clubs are understood to be looking at offering him a deal for next season.
