Scunthorpe United opened up a three-point gap at the top of League One, while Brentford and Rotherham's woes contined.
Bristol City and Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 in the battle of second against third, with both goals coming in the first-half.
Grant Holt (pictured) scored the opener inside five minutes for Forest but Bradley Orr's 38th minute equaliser secured a point apiece.
Fourth-placed Oldham Athletic came out on top against Yeovil Town with Gary McDonald scoring the only goal after 37 minutes.
Leaders Scunthorpe now have a three-point lead on the chasing pack after second-half strikes from Billy Sharp (56) and Jermaine Beckford (76) secured victory against Bradford City.
Blackpool remain in the play-off spots after a 2-1 home win over Crewe Alexandra.
Goals from Wesley Hoolahan (15) and Robbie Williams (57) sealed the points before Shaun Miller's late consolation.
Brentford stay rooted to the bottom of the League One table following a 2-1 defeat at Gillingham.
The Bees went ahead early through Jo Kuffour but Andrew Croft pulled the hosts level (29) and Danny Jackman scored a late winner.
Rotherham United are also in deep trouble after losing 2-0 at home to Bournemouth, whose goals came from David McGoldrick (12) and James Hayter (28).
Cheltenham Town picked up a valuable three points in their fight for survival with a 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient.
John Finnigan (13) and J.J. Melligan (61) scored Cheltenham's goals, with Gary Alexander netting for the visitors (63).
Akpo Sodje's brace helped Port Vale claim a point with a 2-2 draw against Huddersfield Town.
Sodje twice pulled Vale level (35 & 68) after goals from Luke Beckett (4) and John McAliskey (46).
Neil Harris' double (31 & 70 pen) sealed a 2-0 victory for Millwall over Swansea City, while Bas Savage scored twice (60 & 66) to give Brighton & Hove Albion a 2-0 win at Northampton Town.
