Hooper: Settled quickly at Scunthorpe
Scunthorpe striker Gary Hooper admits he is finding it difficult to watch Hereford struggle in League One this season after making a summer switch from the Bulls.
The 20-year-old was pivotal in Hereford's promotion winning campaign last term, netting 11 times in 19 appearances during his loan spell at Edgar Street.
But the Bulls have had a disastrous start to life in the third tier with only one win from seven games, which Hooper says has been difficult to take in.
He told skysports.com: "It is not nice to see Hereford down at the bottom of the table.
"We played them the other week and I had a chat with the manager Graham Turner. I still speak to quite a lot of the players at the club and it is not easy watching them struggle.
"I hope that they will start to win more games and pick up some points so that they can avoid relegation."
Since joining Nigel Adkins' outfit in July the marksman has continued his goal frenzy by grabbing seven goals in as many games.
And Hooper believes that his new team-mates have been key to his impressive tally.
"All the lads at Scunthorpe are great," he added.
"They have really helped me settle in and feel comfortable at the club. They are really helping me to score goals.
"I scored twice in pre-season and got my first ever hat-trick this month so I am very happy.
"It is great that we are in a strong position in the table but we have to keep winning games and push for promotion."
