Knill: Bemoans missed chances
Alan Knill felt his Scunthorpe side could have had 10 goals at Walsall yet he is still waiting for the club's first league win.
The visitors were by far the better side at the Banks's Stadium in Saturday's League One clash but did not equalise until the fourth and final minute of stoppage time when substitute Jimmy Ryan rammed home a low drive to come away with a 2-2 draw.
It leaves the Iron still without a win in nine league games - their worst start for 37 years. Afterwards, Knill said: "It was unbelievable. How we came in at half-time 1-0 down when it was so one-sided I don't know.
"Our play was good and chances were created, but we are just not putting it in the back of the net. The only time they got the ball in our box they scored.
"People say we are one of the best sides they have played, but good sides win and we have lost three and drawn six, yet we could easily have won six. It was two points dropped for us. It was a pretty one-sided game, but full credit to Walsall, when they had opportunities they took their chances."
He added: "My aim is still to be promoted. Thankfully this is the start of the season, not the end of the season. Anybody can beat anybody in this league."
