Chris Cohen is set to undergo a scan to determine the seriousness of the knee injury he picked up against Derby, with Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren preparing himself for bad news.

Cohen: Set to undergo scan

The versatile Cohen laid injured on the ground as Jamie Ward embarked on a mazy run to score Derby's equalising goal in the clash between the East Midlands rivals at the City Ground on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was helped off before the game could be restarted.

McClaren said: "We fear the worst. It is unfortunate because he has been one of our best players this season in all positions.

"He is a fantastic lad, a great worker with a fantastic attitude and it is such a shame for him. But let's wait and see what the scan says and hope it is not too bad."
