Rochdale have bolstered their left sided options by finalising deals for David Perkins and Rory Prendergast.

Left-back Perkins comes in from Morecambe, while winger Prendergast arrives from Blackpool.

Perkins, 24, has penned an 18-month deal at Spotland.

"To move into the Football League is fantastic and I'm over the moon to be here," said Perkins.

"I know there is a step up and I know it won't be easy, but I believe it's a step I can take without any problem."

Prendergast has signed on for an initial 12-month period.

"I'm delighted to have made the move and I'm looking forward to playing first-team football again," he said.

"I'm 27 now and at my age you have to be playing first team football and I'm sure Rochdale will be a very good move for me."
