Hendrie: Links up with Blackpool
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson is hoping new loan signing Lee Hendrie will increase the competition for places at Bloomfield Road.
Hendrie has joined the Seasiders until 1st January from Sheffield United and appeared as a late substitute in Sunday's 3-1 home defeat by Preston.
The one-time England international will be in contention to start Blackpool's next game against Championship leaders Wolves on Saturday as he looks to build up his fitness.
Grayson is happy to have signed the ex-Aston Villa midfielder and expects Hendrie to keep the Blackpool players on their toes.
"Lee Hendrie is a good player," said Grayson in the Blackpool Gazette. "He is very versatile and can play through the middle or down either side.
"He is a player I know from my time at Aston Villa. I asked about him on Friday, we got the green light and I signed him later that night.
"None of the players can have any complaints or question me should they not be in the team next Saturday."
