Blackpool have signed former Wigan and Birmingham goalkeeper Richard Kingson on a free transfer.

The Premier League new boys have been linked with a number of goalkeepers as Ian Holloway looks to provide cover for the injured Paul Rachubka.

Kingson has been able to join Blackpool outside the transfer window as he is a free agent after seeing out his contract at Wigan earlier this summer.

The 32-year-old, who impressed at the World Cup with Ghana this summer, has been included in Blackpool's 24-man squad for the Premier League.
