Rovers sink Latics

Tranmere picked up a 4-0 win against Oldham in Friday night's League One match.

Rovers turned on the style to pick up a big victory against Oldham - who had won their first two games.

It had taken 45 minutes for Rovers to carve open their opponents, and it was Chris Greenacre that got the opener.

Ian Sharps added a second on 54, before Gareth Roberts made it three on 77 minutes.

Greenacre added his second from the penalty spot at the death, and put a gloss on the scoreline.

Oldham slip down the table with a negative goal difference following the big defeat, whilst Tranmere move into fifth place.
