Forest Green and York reached the third round of the FA Cup, while Brighton left it late to end Rushden & Diamonds' dreams.

Forest Green got the better of non-league side Bath with a 2-1 win to go into the draw for the third round.

Jonathan Smith gave Forest Green the lead on 24 minutes only for Lewis Hogg to draw Bath City level two minutes before the break.

Mark Preece grabbed the winner for Forest Green three minutes into the second half.

Liam Dickinson's late goal earned Brighton a 3-2 win over non-league Rushden & Diamonds at the Withdean Stadium.

Brighton got off to a flying start with Dickinson opening the scoring after just three minutes, but the visitors drew level on 14 minutes courtesy of Lee Tomlin's goal.

Nicky Forster restored the lead from the penalty spot on 22 minutes, but again Rushden hit back with Aaron O'Connor finding the net five minutes before the break.

Dickinson broke Rushden's hearts with the winner four minutes from time.

Carlisle dumped Norwich out of the cup with a 3-1 win at Brunton Park.

Vincent Pericard set Carlisle on their way with the opener after 12 minutes, but Grant Holt drew Norwich level on 26 minutes.

Kevan Hurst restored Carlisle's lead a minute after the restart and Richard Keogh made the game safe with a third on 72 minutes.

Notts County got the better of fellow League Two side Bournemouth with a 2-1 win to reach the third round.

Brett Pitman fired Bournemouth in front on 38 minutes, but second half goals from Lee Hughes (49) and Craig Westcarr (58) turned the game in County's favour.

John-Joe O'Toole's last-gasp goal earned Colchester a 1-0 win over League Two Hereford to send Aidy Boothroyd's side into the next round.

Brentford edged out Walsall 1-0 at Griffin Park thanks to Leon Legge's 13th minute strike.

John O'Flynn's late penalty earned Barnet a 2-2 draw and a replay with ten-man Accrington Stanley.

Robert Grant opened the scoring for Accrington on 29 minutes, but things took a turn for the worse for the home side when John Miles was sent off on 37 minutes for serious foul play.

Ismail Yakubu drew Barnet level on 47 minutes, but Michael Symes restored the lead for the ten men three minutes later.

O'Flynn ensured a replay for Barnet when he converted from the penalty spot in the final minute.

MK Dons came from 3-1 down to beat Exeter 4-3 in a thrilling contest at Stadium:MK.

Sam Baldock fired MK Dons in front on 35 minutes but two quick-fire goals from Barry Corr (50, & 54) and Adam Stansfield's 67th minute strike put Exeter in firm control.

Baldock reduced the arrears on 70 minutes and Martin Devaney equalised five minutes later.

Jermaine Easter popped up with the winner four minutes from time to send Paul Ince's men through to the third round.

Gillingham avoided a shock after a 1-0 victory over League Two Burton Albion at the Priestfield.

Curtis Weston scored the only goal of the game for the League One side on 69 minutes to send the Gills into the third round.

York booked their place in the hat for the third round draw with a 2-1 win over fellow Conference side Cambridge thanks to Michael Rankine's 37th minute strike and Richard Brodie's penalty three minutes later.

Anthony Tonkin pulled a goal back six minutes from time, but York held on for the win.
