Tranmere boss Les Parry will assess Ian Goodison's fitness before deciding whether to bolster his squad with a loan deal.

The defender picked up stomach injury and winger Martin Devaney also came off with a hamstring strain during Saturday's goalless draw with Yeovil.

Parry told Tranmere Player: "Both of them certainly won't be training until the end of the week, if at all.

"I won't do anything with the centre-back until later in the week. I need to just make sure we do need a player first of all, but the chances are we will be bringing one in.

"Nobody can sign until Friday, but I've asked, and I will be asking any others, if they could come in and train with us and Thursday and sign on Friday."
