Tranmere manager Les Parry hopes to be able to bring Ryan Donaldson back to the club once the midfielder has recovered from injury.

The 20-year-old joined Rovers on a one-month loan deal from Newcastle last week, but suffered a hamstring injury on his debut against Wycombe on Saturday.

"Ryan has had a scan at Newcastle. We're waiting on the results of it, but it doesn't look great, it looks as if he will be out for the duration of his loan," Parry told the club's official website.

"But as soon as he is fit and ready I would love to take him back. I would like to get him in again because he seemed to fit into the way we wanted to play so well."
