Poyet: New Brighton boss
There is almost a full programme of League One fixtures this weekend starting with basement club Wycombe's trip to Huddersfield.
Table toppers Leeds United are exempt from the weekend's games after receiving the required amount of international call-ups to postpone their scheduled trip to Swindon.
The rest of the pack will be hoping to take advantage by closing United's gap at the top, as Huddersfield get the ball rolling at the Galpharm Stadium.
The Terriers will be hoping to maintain their promotion push and will fancy their chances against a Wycombe side without a win in 12 games.
Elswhere, its second-place verses third as both Charlton and MK Dons will both be hoping to reduce the seven-point deficit between themselves and the top when they clash at The Valley.
Colchester will be eager to pick up the pieces should honours be even at The Valley as they host Exeter, who have scored seven goals without reply in their last two outings.
Resurgent Norwich look to enhance their play-off hopes as they host struggling Tranmere, who will once again be led by caretaker boss Les Parry.
Millwall continue to lurk about the play-off positions also, but face a difficult trip to unpredictable Brentford as the Lions aim to climb back into the top six.
After a bright start, Bristol Rovers have suffered six defeats on the spin sending them spiralling down the table but they will be aiming to stop the rot against a Carlisle side who have won three of their last four.
Meanwhile, mid-table duo Yeovil Town and Southend United meet at Huish Park with neither side heading into the clash with particular consistency.
Fresh from last week's shock FA Cup exit to Kettering, Hartlepool will be aiming to get back on track as they host Leyton Orient at Victoria Park.
The Os will be hoping to bounce back from an upset of their own after suffering a midweek Johnstone's Paint exit to League Two outfit Hereford.
Elsewhere, two away wins on the spin will have Walsall in confident mood as they return to the Bank's Stadium to host relegation candidates Stockport.
Oldham's away form has been better than their home of late, and they will hope that run continues as they travel to a Gillingham side who have lost just once in the league at the Priestfield Stadium this term.
Finally, Sunday's only League One clash sees new Brighton boss Gus Poyet face a difficult first game in charge away to Southampton, who have won six of their last eight games.
