Bournemouth returned to the top of League Two after leaders Dagenham lost at home to fellow high-flyers Rochdale.

Dagenham began the day in top spot with Rochdale in third and the Daggers looked set to stay there after Peter Gain gave them a third-minute lead.

But Kallum Higginbotham and Craig Dawson scored two in three minutes late on to give Dale a 2-1 win and take them into second place, above Dagenham on goal difference.

That opened the door for Bournemouth to go top and the Cherries are two points clear of Rochdale and Dagenham after a 2-1 win at Macclesfield.

Shaun Brisley's opener for the hosts was cancelled out by a goal late in each half by Bournemouth's top scorer Brett Pitman, who now has 11 for the season.

Rotherham remain fourth after Kevin Ellison and Adam Le Fondre scored in the last five minutes to give them a 2-0 win at Torquay.

Fifth-placed Chesterfield maintained their superb home record with a 5-2 win over rock-bottom Darlington.

Burton moved up to 10th after Aaron Webster's 87th-minute winner gave them a 3-2 home win against Hereford.

Shaun Harrad had twice put the hosts in front in the second half, only for Leon Constantine to equalise twice for Hereford.

Bradford are still in 12th place after Michael Symes' second-half equaliser secured a 1-1 draw for Accrington.

Morecambe were the biggest climbers as Laurence Wilson's early effort gave them a 1-0 home victory over Cheltenham and took the Shrimps from 19th to 15th.
