Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi has stated he will not be rushed into making a decision over trialist Jordan Rose.

The 20-year-old former Stockport defender has enjoyed a productive time at the club and has featured in pre-season friendlies against Nantwich and Wealdstone.

And there are indications that he may well get another chance to impress against Whitton Albion next Wednesday.

But Gradi, who has forged a reputation for propelling players into the higher echelons of the game, wants to take his time to assess the potential of his latest charge.

"Jordan is training with us and there has been no decision made," Gradi told the club's official website.

"I've not set a deadline on it but I will be fair to him as well. He will get a chance to play in the small sided games today and we might play him at Whitton next week.

"We'll see how he does. He has only trained a few days with us. He is the only trialist here with us and looks as if he has potential. He has done fine so far."
