Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has questioned the desire of some of his players ahead of the trip to Hereford on Saturday.

The Gills lost 1-0 to Southend on Tuesday and have now picked up just one point from their last four games.

When asked to pinpoint a reason for their slump in form, Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent: "I think it's people not performing - simple as that.

"It's got to change and it's got to change very quickly. We may have to juggle the pack.

"If people aren't going to start doing their jobs properly for 90 plus minutes, then we need to get players that are going to because we need to start winning games again.

"Where is the Gillingham player going in there, busting his backside to get in there and score a goal? Why are we not doing that?"
