Bentley: Pits his wits against the Pirates

League Two table-toppers Morecambe host Bristol Rovers on Saturday, while rock-bottom Plymouth entertain Macclesfield.

Jim Bentley's Morecambe put their eight-game unbeaten league run on the line against Bristol Rovers, who will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Aldershot last time.

Any slip-ups by the Shrimps and second-placed Rotherham will be seeking to capitalise when hosting Southend.

While the Millers are unbeaten at home, it will be tough against the Shrimpers who have won their last two games to sit sixth in the table.

Third-placed Shrewsbury also put their unbeaten home record on the line against tenth-placed Torquay who are unbeaten away.

Tricky trip

Burton have taken ten points from their last four games to rise to fourth in the table and next face the tricky trip to ninth-placd Gillingham, who could leapfrog the Brewers with a win.

Fifth-placed Crawley head to an in-form Aldershot side who will be buzzing after beating League One's Rochdale in the Carling Cup in midweek.

Oxford occupy the last play-off berth after two away wins on the bounce and the Us put their unbeaten home league record on the line against Accrington, who are yet to win away.

Eighth-placed Port Vale head to Crewe and there should be goals aplenty given the Railwaymen have scored eight and conceded six times at The Alexandra Stadium so far this term - the latest 3-1 victories over Barnet and Oxford following two 2-1 defeats.

Down at the bottom, managerless Plymouth are anchored five points adrift of safety after no wins so far this term and eight successive defeats.

Pits wits

Caretaker boss Carl Fletcher pits his wits against a Macclesfield side who will be confident after beating Northampton last time.

Second-from-bottom Hereford travel to Cheltenham looking for their first away win of the campaign, while third-from-bottom Bradford go in search of a first victory under boss Phil Parkinson when hosting AFC Wimbledon at Valley Parade.

Paolo Di Canio's Swindon have won three out of four at home and next take on fourth-from-bottom Barnet who are aiming to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Oxford last time.

In the last League Two game, fifth-from-bottom Northampton aim for their first home league victory when they entertain Dagenham & Redbridge.
