Port Vale have handed a trial to former Charlton Athletic striker Mark McCammon ahead of their new League Two campaign.
The Barbados-born 32-year-old linked up with Micky Adams's squad on Monday.
McCammon was released by Gillingham at the end of last season and recently had a trial at Vale's neighbours Crewe.
He barely featured for the Kent club last season and has not scored a competitive goal since April 2009, when Gills won 1-0 at Chesterfield.
