Scottish starlet Scott Arfield is undergoing a medical with Huddersfield Town, skysports.com understands.

The 21-year-old is being chased by a host of clubs with both Hibernian and Hearts keen to keep him in the SPL.

But he now looks set for a move south of the border, with Huddersfield fending off rival interest from Southampton to land the Falkirk midfielder.

It is understood the Terriers have agreed a deal worth around £400,000 for Arfield.

The Scotland Under-21 international is now discussing terms and undergoing a medical with the West Yorkshire side ahead of a possible switch.

Skysports.com understands that Huddersfield will press ahead with the move regardless of the outcome of their bid to reach the Championship via the play-offs.
