Leyton Orient have signed midfielder Sean Thornton on a two-year contract.
Thornton moves to Brisbane Road on a free transfer after being released by Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.
He had been Doncaster's record signing when he arrived from Sunderland in a £175,000 switch in the summer of 2005.
But he was let go by Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll and has now opted for a deal with Martin Ling's Orient.
"I'm pleased to have Sean on board," Ling told the club's official website.
"We've been looking for a creative midfielder and Sean fits the bill perfectly.
"He will fit into our style of play and I believe we have signed a quality player.
"It means there are now eight midfield players competing for those four spots and I'm also pleased that we've tied another position up."
