Lisbie: Aiming to make the most of his short-term deal at Leyton Orient
Leyton Orient's new signing Kevin Lisbie is keen to impress after being handed a four-month deal.
The ex-Colchester striker made his O's debut against his former club, as the League One table footers earned a 1-1 draw thanks to Jimmy Smith's last-minute leveller.
The 32-year-old had been looking for a new club since leaving Ipswich at the end of last season and he told skysports.com that he has no qualms in dropping into the third-tier.
"I was an absolute nightmare to live with on a Saturday because watching football isn't anywhere close to playing matches."
Kevin Lisbie Quotes of the week
"Every player wants to play as high as possible and I'm no different, but I have no qualms about playing in League One, especially when I heard about Leyton Orient's interest.
"I'm still relatively young and I don't feel like I'm 32, so whilst that is still the case, I'd like to be playing at the highest level possible.
"I was an absolute nightmare to live with on a Saturday because watching football isn't anywhere close to playing matches.
"It was very frustrating, but many others are in the same boat as I was and all I could do was wait.
"Thankfully I got the chance to be out there on the pitch again instead of in the stands or sofa."
