Burnley have completed the signing of highly-rated striker Danny Ings from Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.

Skysports.com revealed over the weekend that the Clarets were closing in on a deal for the 19-year-old, who made his Bournemouth debut during Eddie Howe's time as manager.

Ings was also targeted by Fulham and Crystal Palace over the summer and recently revealed his eagerness to test himself at a higher level.

However, once Burnley showed an interest, the young forward admitted he could not wait to work with Howe and his assistant Jason Tindall again at Turf Moor.

Big club

"Ed and Jason brought me through when I was first at Bournemouth and gave me the opportunity and it's good to be back working with them, day-in, day-out to try and improve as a player," Ings, who has signed a four-year contract, told the club's official website.

"There were a few teams that were interested but the whole time there was interest there was only one place I wanted to be, with my old management team.

"It means a lot to me that they are going to give me a chance and hopefully I can repay them.

"Burnley is a big club and it's good to be here and I can't wait to play for them."
