Allen: Targets
Cheltenham have sealed a permanent move for on-loan Tottenham youngster David Hutton.
The 19-year-old winger, who was out of contract with the Premier League club in the summer, will join the Robins for a year with the option of an extension.
After a brief spell on loan with the relegated League One side, Hutton impressed manager Martin Allen enough to earn a permanent move to Whaddon Road.
The Robins boss admits he is delighted to retain Hutton's services, insisting the young winger has enormous potential.
"David has had 11 years at Tottenham and this is a big move for him," he told the club's official website.
"He has the potential to be a top player and he is a very good acquisition for the club."
Meanwhile, Allen said he will not be offering striker Damian Spencer a renewed contract with the club.
The 27-year-old, who has been on loan with Brentford since the end of March, will be free to look elsewhere after failing to make an impact at Whaddon Road.
Allen said: "It is also important for me to sort out our off-field staff and I am hoping to have this all in place by the end of the week along with, hopefully, another signing."
