Cheltenham coach John Brough has run the rule over former Glenn Hoddle Academy graduate Luke Benbow, saying the striker is impressive.

The forward, who was recently released by the Spanish-based development school, took part in the Robins' reserve team win over Forest Green on Monday, and assistant manager John Brough was impressed by what he saw.

"It was the first time I've seen him and he put in a good performance," Brough told the club's official website.

"He's a strong boy, holds the ball up well and he was perhaps unlucky not to have scored with his effort that flashed past the post."
