Morecambe entertain Crawley in a top-of-the-table clash, while Rotherham also face a difficult game at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Crawley currently lead the way on goal difference from Rotherham and Morecambe, but Steve Evans' newly-promoted side have a difficult task on Saturday as they travel to the Globe Arena.

With at least one of their main rivals dropping points, Rotherham could regain top spot by sealing victory over eighth-placed Dagenham & Redbridge in a match that pits Manager of the Month for August Andy Scott against Player of the Month Mark Arber.

High-flying Torquay are just two points adrift of the top three and could break into the automatic promotion positions by beating lowly Northampton, who are on a four-match winless streak.

Fifth-placed Shrewsbury have won three in a row and will be looking to make it four when they entertain second-bottom Hereford in the day's early kick-off.

Plymouth's biggest battle remains off the pitch but they would dearly love to lift the gloom with three points at home to free-scoring Port Vale this weekend.

AFC Wimbledon have not made quite such an impressive start to life in the Football League as Crawley but they are still going very well in seventh, and will be looking to carry on that fine form away to Aldershot.

Gillingham's flying start has unravelled slightly following consecutive defeats, but they have the opportunity to get back on track at home to an Accrington side currently in 15th.

Southend are back in ninth spot but could clamber into the play-off zone with a victory over Swindon at the County Ground.

Having begun with four straight losses, Crewe have collected six points from their past two games and will want to continue moving in the right direction when they face fellow strugglers Barnet.

Phil Parkinson's first league game in charge of Bradford ended in a 1-1 draw against Morecambe and he will now be targeting success against Bristol Rovers at Valley Parade.

Cheltenham tackle Macclesfield in a battle between two teams in mid-table, while Oxford lock horns with Burton.
