Chesterfield striker Jack Lester could be out for up to three months with a fractured left arm sustained in their goalless draw with Leyton Orient.

The veteran forward was injured in a penalty claim in the 82nd minute when he collided with Orient shot-stopper Lee Butcher. However, referee Gary Sutton gave a free-kick against the 35-year-old.

Lester had to be stretchered off the pitch and was immediately taken to hospital from the B2net Stadium.

That blow and penalty dismissal angered Spireites boss John Sheridan who admitted losing Lester was a "big loss" to the club.

He said: "It's a real shame, he's worked very hard this season but he's a strong character and I'm sure he'll come back as strong as ever - but it's a blow."
