Uwe Rosler hailed Brentford's 5-0 rout of Leyton Orient but admitted his side were second best in the first half.

Two exquisite Sam Saunders set pieces were the springboard for the thrashing after Celtic loanee Niall McGinn had broken the deadlock, but the visitors could count themselves unlucky not to go in level after Dean Cox's chip bounced to safety off the bar and Stephen Dawson forced a brave stop from Bees keeper Richard Lee.

But it was one-way traffic after the break and goals from Saunders, defender Leon Legge and Marcus Bean sealed the emphatic win.

Rosler insisted he was far from happy with his side's first-half performance and added: "I thought Leyton Orient were the better side before the break and they looked comfortable in our stadium which made me have something of an uncomfortable first half.

"We got the goal up but we only started to get belief in our qualities on the ball once we got the second goal which settled our nerves."

Rosler added: "We were good value for the win in the second half. We know this division is all about margins and my attitude is that the harder you work the more you improve those margins and you will find things are more likely to go your way."
