Brentford boss Uwe Rosler has scotched rumours that striker Charlie MacDonald has been told he can find a new club.

MacDonald is currently behind Gary Alexander and summer-signing Clayton Donaldson for a place in the Bees' attack.

The 30-year-old was left out of the squad completely against Exeter recently, prompting talk he could be heading for the Griffin Park exit.

But Rosler told the Hounslow Chronicle: "Charlie played a part against Yeovil, Hereford, Sheffield United and Leyton Orient - it was only at Exeter he didn't play.

"The rumours are not true."
