The race to sign Jermaine Easter is firmly on after Milton Keynes Dons and Swindon Town both lodged bids for the Welsh international, skysports.com can confirm.
The 25-year-old striker is set to start the season with Wycombe but his long-term future appears to be very much in doubt.
Both the Dons and Robins have now made firm offers but it is understood a host of other clubs are ready to launch counter bids.
Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol City, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers are also amongst the clubs said to be looking at the player.
Easter has always admitted he is happy with The Chairboys, but he may find the option to move tempting.
Wycombe will decide on Easter's future over the coming days but may find it hard to hang onto one of the most highly-rated players in the lower leagues.
