Rochdale's Chris Dagnall is happy with his progress as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
The striker could be sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering cruciate ligament damage against Macclesfield in September.
But he has been buoyed by a recent visit to the doctor and could be back at Spotland for physiotherapy by the end of the month.
Dagnall told the club's official website: "The swelling has come down nicely and the doctor has told me that my knee, at this stage, is not nearly as bad as many that he has seen.
"The knee actually feels fine and I have been working with a physio who has a special aquasuit that means that I have begun to start running in the pool as well as doing upper body work.
"I am still very much under the care of the surgeon, but he is happy with my progress and I could be back at the club and working with our physio Andy Thorpe within two to three weeks."
