Wilbraham: Two for MK Dons

Milton Keynes Dons moved back to the top of the League Two table after they hammered Dagenham & Redbridge.

Paul Ince's side romped to victory at Stadium:MK but Peterborough - who started the day on top - were surprisingly held at home by Notts County.

Darlington and Hereford continue to slog it out for third spot as they both secured home wins.

At the bottom, County dropped to third bottom despite their point as Macclesfield beat Shrewsbury, while the bottom two, Mansfield and Wrexham, also won.

Barnet 3 Chester 1

Barnet secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Chester at Underhill with all the goals coming in the second-half.

Albert Adomah opened the scoring (50) before Cliff Akurang helped himself to a brace (72 pen & 80) to seal the win.

Mark Hughes added a late consolation for City.

Bradford 1 Mansfield 2

Mansfield are just three points from safety after an excellent 2-1 win at Bradford City.

Nathan Arnold (14) gave The Stags the lead before Barry Conlon levelled on the stroke of half-time.

But Mansfield secured the win as top-scorer Michael Boulding struck just six-minutes into the second half.

Darlington 3 Grimsby 2

Darlington produced a momentous comeback as they beat Grimsby 3-2 at The Darlington Arena.

The Mariners had looked like causing a huge shock as they stunned the home crowd with two goals in two minutes as Martin Butler (29 & 30) scored both.

The Quakers responded quickly through Pawell Abbott (33) and the former Preston man levelled just before the break.

Then just after the hour the comeback was complete as Tommy Wright (64) fired home to make sure they stayed within a point of third place Hereford.

Hereford 1 Wycombe 0

Hereford left it late to claim a 1-0 win over Wycombe and maintain third spot in League Two.

Sixth-placed Wycombe looked well-placed to claim a hard-fought point but then with 18 minutes left Russell Martin put through his own net.

Lincoln 0 Stockport 1

Fifth-placed Stockport cemented their place in the play-offs with victory at Lincoln City.

There was only one goal in it at Sincil Bank and it came just after the hour when David Poole fired home.

MK Dons 4 Dag & Red 0

Milton Keynes overpowered Dagenham & Redbridge with a 4-0 win which sent them back to the top of the table.

Aaron Wilbraham opened the scoring after just three minutes in and Lloyd Dyer (10) soon doubled that advantage.

Wilbraham made it 3-0 on 37 minutes before Kevin Gallen (82) fired home the fourth late on.

Macclesfield 2 Shrewsbury 1

Macclesfield came from behind to grab a crucial 2-1 win over Shrewsbury at Moss Rose.

Dave Hibbert had put Shrewsbury ahead on 65 minutes but a fantastic finish from the home side secured the win.

Former Town player Jamie Tolley levelled on 82 minutes before Francis Green grabbed the winner. The three points takes Macclesfield up one place to 21st, above Notts County.

Morecambe 3 Brentford 1

Morecambe secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Brentford at Christie Park.

Stuart Drummond put The Shrimpers ahead on the half hour, but the visitors were level at the break thanks to Nathan Elder (42).

Garry Thompson struck on 53 minutes to restore Morcecambe's lead before the win was sealed late on through Garry Hunter (88).

Peterborough 0 Notts County 0

Peterborough could not find a way through against Notts County at London Road.

The Posh are by far the highest scorers in League Two, but they were held by County - who despite the draw slipped to just above the relegation places.

The failure to win means Peterborough drop to second behind MK Dons.

Rotherham 2 Chesterfield 1

Rotherham claimed a crucial 2-1 win over play-off rivals Chesterfield.

The two teams started the day just separated by a point, but The Millers - in the final play-off place - now find themselves four points clear of Chesterfield in eighth.

Rotherham were 2-0 up at the break at Millmoor as Peter Holmes (30) and Marc Joseph (45) pounced.

Jamie Ward pulled one back for Chesterfield with 15 minutes remaining - but they could not find the equaliser.

Wrexham 2 Bury 1

Bottom of the table Wrexham are just four points off safety with games in hand after they beat Bury 2-1 at The Racecourse Ground.

Drewe Broughton (25) put the Dragons ahead but Glynn Hurst levelled just before the break.

The winner came 13 minutes from time as Michael Proctor fired home.
