Brentford manager Andy Scott is planning 'wholesale changes' to his squad in the summer.

Scott has been in charge at Griffin Park since December when he was originally placed in temporary control following Terry Butcher's departure.

He recently signed a five-year contract with the Bees, but has seen the team's season peter out to a tame conclusion.

Defeat at Stockport on Saturday ensured Brentford finished the campaign 14th in League Two and Scott is now ready to wheel and deal in the transfer market.

"I've already been told what my budget is for next season and there are going to be wholesale changes in the summer," said Scott.

"I'm going to have to be very astute in the transfer market because we can't keep putting in performances like that next season."
