Peterborough winger Chris Whelpdale has signed a new four-year contract to stay at London Road.
The 19-year-old arrived last summer from Billericay and unexpectedly found himself a regular in the promotion-winning side.
"It has been a great season and this has topped it off," he told the club's official website.
"I never envisaged I would play so many games in the first team after coming in from non-league but everyone at the club has had faith in me.
"We are a young side and are hungry for success and I am personally looking forward to playing at some excellent stadiums - including Leicester City."
