Wright: Ruled out
Striker Tommy Wright will miss the second leg of Darlington's League Two play-off semi-final against Rochdale at Spotland, live on Sky Sports 1.
The Quakers' leading scorer suffered medial knee ligament damage in a second-half collision with Dale goalkeeper Tommy Lee in the first leg on Saturday.
It had been hoped that 14-goal Wright, who briefly tried to play on before being forced off the field, would be fit to lead the line as Dave Penney's men look to defend their 2-1 advantage.
But he has now been ruled out of Saturday's Spotland clash, and would be extremely doubtful if the Quakers were to reach the final at Wembley.
He told the Northern Echo: "The physio has told me three to four weeks, but it depends on how well I recover.
"It's one of those situations where if I have an injection I am risking make it a lot worse.
"I couldn't really feel my knee at first. The physio came over and straightened my knee and it felt alright, but apparently that's the adrenalin going through.
"As soon as I started running I could feel it straight away.
"I'll be devastated if that's my last action for the season so I'm going to everything I can to try and get back for Wembley, if we get there.
"Hopefully the boys will do the business in the second leg and give me a chance to play again this season."
