Clarke: An excellent four goals
Darlington hit Macclesfield for six while Chester and Aldershot also enjoyed impressive victories on the fourth weekend of the new League Two season.
Dave Penney's Darlington were in fine form away to Macclesfield - who have now succumbed to four consecutive league defeats - recording a 6-0 win.
Billy Clarke bagged an incredible four goals, while an own goal from Richard Walker and a strike from Neil Austin completed the rout.
Chester ended a run of three straight losses to record a 5-1 thumping over Barnet at the Deva Stadium.
Ryan Lowe netted a brace for the home side, while Paul Linwood, Kevin Roberts and Kevin Ellison recorded a goal apiece before Cliff Akurang struck a consolation for The Bees.
Dagenham & Redbridge now lead the way at the top of the table during the early stages of the new campaign after John Still's men defeated Morecambe 2-1.
Sam Saunders broke the deadlock before Solomon Taiwo extended the away side's lead, with Morecambe substitute Diarmuid O'Carroll netting with 11 minutes remaining.
Bradford's impressive run of three consecutive wins came to an end as they went 3-2 down at Aldershot
Paul McLaren opened the scoring for The Bantams; however goals from John Grant and Marvin Morgan turned the game on its head.
Lee Bullock then levelled for Bradford but with four minutes remaining Scott Davies came off the bench to clinch the success.
Wycombe Wanderers climbed to fourth as they maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign with Mike Williamson's goal proving decisive as Peter Taylor's men claimed a 1-0 win over Chesterfield.
Dennis Oli struck the only goal of the game as Gillingham brought Accrington Stanley's recent positive league form to an end with a 1-0 triumph.
Lincoln City and Grimsby both halted their recent losing ways as the duo drew 1-1 at Sincil Bank with Lee Frecklington's penalty cancelling out Peter Till's opener.
Bury were forced to settle for a point in their clash at Rochdale as Adam le Fondre's spot-kick saved Sam Russell's blushes after he had put through his own net on eight minutes.
Port Vale rose up the table to seventh with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth with Marc Richards, Simon Richman and John McCombe on target for Lee Sinnott's side, and Craig Lindfield netting a consolation for the visitors.
Luton Town secured their second three points of the new term with Sam Parkin scoring the decisive strike at Exeter City.
Notts County denied Shrewsbury three points as Michael Symes struck with two minutes left on the clock after goals from Mike Edwards and Richard Butcher sandwich an effort from Dave Hibbert.
In Saturday's final fixture, Rotherham's encounter at Griffin Park versus Brentford ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
