Grimsby Town have finally confirmed the loan signing of Manchester City starlet Javan Vidal for an initial month.

The 19-year-old was due to join the Mariners after training with the League Two outfit on Friday, but a last-minute snag delayed the deal.

The club instead announced the deal on Monday, and the England Under 19 international is expected to go straight into the squad to face Chesterfield in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Wednesday.

The teenager can play at both right-back and right midfield and will be looking to build up his experience with Alan Buckley's side.
