Bournemouth have announced the permanent signing of goalkeeper Shwan Jalal from Peterborough.

Jalal has been on loan with the Cherries since the start of the season after impressing on trial over the summer.

He has now done enough to secure a move to follow striker Alan Connell into the club.

Connell sealed a return to the club he played for earlier in his career over the weekend to replace the departing Jo Kuffour.

However, Connell is currently sidelined with a knee injury and the extent of his problem will not be known until the swelling goes down.
