Wycombe returned to the top of the table and maintained their unbeaten league record by beating Port Vale 4-2 at Adams Park.

Peter Taylor's side went in front thanks to a Matt Harold penalty on 23 minutes before Chris Zebroski added the second on the stroke of half-time.

Zebroski added his second on 65 minutes before the Valiants came back into the game through a Marc Richards penalty on 51 minutes and Scott Brown goal on 66 minutes.

But Harrold put the issue beyond doubt by netting his second on 82 minutes.

Previous leaders Darlington dropped to second after being held to a 1-1 draw at Brentford.

Richie Foran put the Quakers ahead on 60 minutes but Karleigh Osborne replied for the Bees in injury time.

Dale win

Rochdale jumped to third after a 2-0 victory over Luton courtesy of a second minute Lee Thorpe goal and a 59th minute Adam Le Fondre penalty at Spotland.

Bradford secured a 2-0 Yorkshire derby victory over Rotherham to move into fourth in the table.

The valuable three away points came thanks to Luke O'Brien's 71st effort, while Nicky Law added the second five minutes later.

Shrewsbury dropped down to fifth after holding Lincoln to a goalless draw at Sincil Bank.

It was a good performance given they had to play most of the game with just ten men after Richard Walker was sent off for violent conduct in the third minute.

Bury jumped into the top six thanks to a 4-0 drubbing of Gillingham at Gigg Lane.

The Shakers claimed the win thanks to braces from Andy Bishop (9, 59) and Glynn Hurst (40, 63).

Exeter remain in eighth after being held to a 1-1 draw by Morecambe at Christie Park.

Rene Howe had put the home side in front on 22 minutes before substitute Emmanuel Panther scored a late replay on 85 minutes for the ten-man Grecians, who had Bertrand Cozic sent off in the 48th minute for violent conduct.

Hat-trick

Paul Benson scored a hat-trick as Dagenham & Redbridge moved up a place to ninth in the table with a 6-1 thrashing of Notts County.

Benson scored in the 35th, 49th, 90th minutes for the Daggers, who also netted through Matt Ritchie (9), Ben Strevens (25) and Magnus Okuonghae (56), while Jonathan Forte got an 86th minute consolation for the visitors.

Chesterfield made it seven league and cup games unbeaten with a 1-1 home draw with Accrington Stanley.

Jack Lester opened the scoring for the home side on 14 minutes before Jimmy Ryan got an 85th minute equaliser.

Two late goals saw Macclesfield earn their first win in five league attempts by beating Barnet 3-1 away.

Martin Gritton had put the visitors in front on 15 minutes before John O'Flynn replied on 59 minutes.

But substitute Francis Green netted on 87 minutes and Nat Brown two minutes later to see the Silkmen home for the win.

Aldershot moved up to 11th in the table after defeating strugglers Chester 1-0 thanks to an 83rd minute Marvin Morgan goal.
