Flynn: On-loan
Darlington have signed midfielder Michael Flynn on a one-month loan deal from Huddersfield.
The 28-year-old, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury, will join the League Two outfit until after Christmas.
Town caretaker boss Gerry Murphy has said the loan spell will be a good chance for Flynn to get some competitive match experience on his return to fitness.
"Michael has been injured recently and this is an ideal opportunity for him to get some games under his belt," Murphy told Town's official website.
"Darlington enquired about him and we felt that it was a great opportunity for him to go up there and get match fit again. He's moving for a positive reason."
The League One side have also announced the decision to pay up Luke Beckett's contract after reaching an agreement with the player.
Contracted until the summer of 2009, Beckett had requested to leave the club for personal reasons and desire to play first-team football.
Despite leading the way on goals for the past two seasons, the 32-year-old has struggled to figure this term, with just three first-team appearances under his belt.
Speaking after his decision to leave Town, Beckett said: "It's a good move for the club and a good move for me.
"I've been a bit disgruntled with the situation for a while and I've been trying to get away on loan, but nothing has really come up."
Beckett will play part-time for Conference North outfit Gainsborough after rejecting a loan move to Bournemouth due to extensive travelling.
"I'm going to Gainsborough until the end of the season and I'll see how it goes. You never know what will happen in football, but it's good for me at the minute," he added.
