Grimsby Town manager Mike Newell has revealed the club are to trial French striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro.
The former FC Brussels and Toulouse player is set to play two games for Grimsby's reserve side.
Newell told the club's official website: "He's played around 40 games in the French league and he wants to play in this country.
"It's a trial really and that is all we are looking at it as."
