Bournemouth are considering a renewed bid to sign striker Stuart Beavon from Weymouth.

Beavon was a target for the League Two strugglers earlier this season, only for the two clubs to fail to agree a fee.

However, Bournemouth's caretaker manager Eddie Howe admits he is weighing up a move for the non-league forward.

Howe told the Daily Echo: "He is a good player.

"His movement was good and his hold-up play was excellent. He's a player I've known about for a long time and someone I watched a few times at Weymouth.

"He's certainly in the mix. We are always evaluating players and trying to get a clearer picture as to the ones we might possibly look to bring in or not, as the case may be.

"I think we've got a good squad and just need a couple of additions."
