Hendon: Happy with Hyde
Barnet have announced that they are close to finalising a deal for Swindon striker Jake Hyde.
The 19-year-old has already trained with the League Two club and is expected to tie up his move to Underhill in the next 48 hours.
Bees manager Ian Hendon first became aware of Hyde when he played in a he played in a behind-closed doors game against Grays.
He has been keeping tabs on the youngster ever since and is looking forward to working with him.
"He impressed me when I saw him play last season, he will be a good addition to our squad," Hendon told the club's official website.
Hyde signed a professional contract with Swindon in February 2008 and later spent time on loan with Wycombe.
He is excited about the prospect of playing for Barnet, adding: "It would be a new experience for me - Barnet would be only the second club I've signed a contract with."
