Notts County: Takeover complete
Munto Finance Ltd. have taken over League Two outfit Notts County following successful due diligence.
The Middle Eastern consortium were primed to seal the acquisition after their proposals were accepted by the club's board last month.
Peter Trembling, who becomes the Magpies' chief executive with immediate effect, believes the day is a momentous one for the club.
"I firmly believe this is a momentous day for all those involved with Notts County, particularly for the club's loyal supporters," he told the club's official website.
"I can promise them that the new owners and my management team will do everything that we can to bring back success to Meadow Lane."
Trembling insists Munto are committed to strengthening Ian McParland's squad along with improving the club's facilities and investing in Meadow Lane.
"We want to create an exciting match-day and all year round Meadow Lane experience and our investment programme is planned to deliver long-term stability," he continued.
"The investment programme will ensure the financial stability, community involvement and success of Notts County both on and off the park.
"We are showing our commitment to the club and the surrounding community and I hope that we can attract many more people to this unique club over the coming years."
