Birmingham City striker Robin Shroot has returned to St Andrews after a loan spell at Burton Albion was cut short.

The 21-year-old was due to remain with League Two Burton until the end of the season, but it has been decided that he will now make his way back to Birmingham.

Shroot will still technically be on loan at Burton until 1st January when the transfer window reopens, but he will not train with, or play for, Paul Peschisolido's team.

A statement on the Brewers' official website said: "Burton Albion would like to thank Robin Shroot for his efforts and wish him the best for his future career.

"The club would also like to thank Birmingham City and look forward to any future dealings."
