Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore believes the appointment of Andy Dibble as the club's new goalkeeping coach will benefit his shot-stoppers.

Former Manchester City No.1 Dibble has left Championship side Peterborough to link up with the Millers.

Dibble was struggling with the commute to Peterborough and Moore is delighted to have taken advantage.

"I have known Andy for a long time from coaching courses and playing against him and when he heard that we were looking for a goalkeeping coach he gave me a call," he told the club's official website.

"I spoke to him about the job and I spoke with (Posh manager) Darren Ferguson and the problem he has had is the travelling to Peterborough and back has meant he has seen less of his family.

"I think it got to the stage when enough was enough and luckily he gave us first option and his presence here can only benefit the goalkeepers we have.

"He has been with Peterborough for three years and in that time they have had two promotions so you need people like that around."
