Albert Adomah has been offered a new contract by Barnet which would make the winger the best-paid player in the club's history.

The 21-year-old has created a huge impression since joining Barnet in January 2008 and is one of the brightest prospects in the Football League.

He was the subject of a failed by Blackpool on transfer deadline day in September, and has also attracted interest from Norwich City and Watford.

Adomah is out of contract at the end of the season and Bees chairman Tony Kleanthous confirmed the lucrative nature of the three-year deal offered to the exciting wide man.

"Our offer shows what we think of Albert - he has done a great job for the club and is a key part of the side that has started this season so well under manager Ian Hendon and his staff and is, hopefully, underlining our promotion intentions," Kleanthous told the club's official website.

"We accept that there is a lot of interest from clubs in higher leagues and, as we have always said in relation to any player at Barnet FC, if the right offer came in that was acceptable to both the club and the player we would not stand in his way and would wish him well for the future.

"Whatever Albert decides about our offer we will accept his decision, happily or regretfully."
