Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman says there has been no offer from Derby County for promising striker Bobby Grant.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation since being switched from the left wing to centre-forward, scoring nine goals for Stanley this season.

Reports earlier this week claimed Rams boss Nigel Clough was ready to make a £200,000 bid for the Liverpudlian, but Coleman insists there has been no approach from the Championship side.

Coleman said: "We've heard nothing from Derby, that's just speculation.

"But he's playing well, looking sharp and scoring goals so there are bound to be clubs looking at him.

"He has a bright future, as does Michael Symes (Grant's strike partner), who is still young enough to go and do well at a higher level."
