Symes: Offered new contract
Accrington Stanley have offered Michael Symes and Bobby Grant new contracts after the strike duo were linked with Derby County.
Skysports.com revealed last week that the Rams are keeping tabs on Symes, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.
The Championship club have also held a long-term interest in Grant, with the teenager in a similar position to Symes regarding his contract.
Stanley have yet to receive an approach from Derby and assistant manager Jimmy Bell has confirmed new contracts have been put to Symes and Grant.
"We've had no contact with Derby so I don't know anything about it," Bell told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "It's just rumours at the moment.
"But I do think there is interest out there in him (Symes) because you do hear rumours.
"We've been aware of this situation though and we've offered him a new contract, which he's thinking about at the moment.
"It's only tentative at the moment so we don't know what length of contract it would be, but we want to show him that he's in our long-term plans.
"It's the same situation with Bobby Grant."
