Barnet striker John O'Flynn is hoping his impressive record in League Two will help him secure a big move in the summer.

The Irishman has scored 33 times in 71 appearances for the Bees after moving to the club in September 2008.

O'Flynn rejected a move to fellow League Two side Shrewsbury in January and is now targeting a move up the divisions when his contract expires in the summer.

"When I came back over to England I set out to prove a point that I could score consistently in the English leagues and at Barnet I reckon I have shown that I can do that in League Two," he told skysports.com.

"Hopefully there will be a big move waiting for me in the summer, so that I can test myself at a higher level because I feel I am ready for that next challenge in my career."

Focused

The 27-year-old has netted 15 times for Barnet this season and he knows how many more he gets before the end of the campaign could determine his future.

"There were a couple of enquiries from clubs in higher divisions in January, but nothing concrete, so I just need to keep hitting the back of the net for Barnet," he said.

"Hopefully I'll impress a couple more clubs to take a chance on me in the summer.

"I told the chairman at Barnet that I am fully focused on doing my best for Barnet until the end of the season and I'll just get my head down till the summer.

"I'd like to score as many goals as possible for Barnet, as my goals may dictate where I go in the summer."
