A remarkable game at the Pirelli Stadium saw Cheltenham steal an incredible 6-5 win away from Burton Albion.

In-form striker Shaun Harrad scored twice in the first half before the Robins mounted a comeback after the break with strikes from Justin Richards and Medy Elito

Burton regained the lead through a Michael Townsend own goal and Steve Kabba then seemed to have killed the game off, but Michael Pook pulled one back with just over five minutes remaining.

Kabba's second restored the two-goal cushion but Pook pounced again and Richards scored a dramatic equaliser before Pook completed his hat-trick deep into stoppage time to grab the three points.

In their first home game since the death of former manager Keith Alexander, Macclesfield secured an unlikely 2-0 win against third-placed Bury.

Ben Wright gave the hosts the lead on the half-hour mark as Bury were reduced to 10 men just before half-time when Ryan Lowe was sent off for dissent, allowing substitute Craig Lindfield to add another in the second half.

But Bury were handed something of a reprieve as fellow promotion-chasers Chesterfield suffered a setback when they were beaten 5-0 at home by Port Vale.

Robert Taylor gave Vale the lead before Marc Richards grabbed a hat-trick to put the result beyond doubt and Craig Davies completed the rout from the spot.

League-leaders Rochdale secured another victory as Joe Thompson scored the only goal in their win at Shrewsbury.

League Two top scorer Adam Le Fondre grabbed his 23rd of the season as Rotherham did their play-off chances the world of good with a 1-0 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.

At the other end of the table, Darlington's misery continued as first half goals from John Johnson and Abdul Osman consigned League Two's bottom club to defeat at the hands of play-off hopefuls Northampton.

Barnet seemed to be on course for a comfortable win against Accrington when Stanley goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin was given his marching orders after a foul in the box.

John O'Flynn stepped up to convert from the spot but Phil Edwards grabbed an unlikely equaliser for the visitors just before the hour mark and Billy Kee grabbed a dramatic winner for the 10 men.

With less than 10 minutes on the clock, Anthony Straker gave Aldershot the upper hand against Bradford the but first James Hanson and then Omar Daley hit back to secure a 2-1 win

A solitary strike from Scott Rendell seemed enough to give Torquay three points against Crewe but Clayton Donaldson levelled matters late on.

Striker Paul Mullen headed home shortly before half-time to give Morecambe the lead against Grimsby, but Michael Coulson equalised for the Mariners and it ended 1-1.
